NY 813984 SEPTEMBER 11, 1995 CLA-2-61:S:N5:358 813984 CATEGORY: Classification TARIFF NO.: 6111.30.3040 Mr. Brian Etkin Vamaani Clothing Company 70 Arthur Street, 4th Floor Winnipeg, Manitoba R2X 2Z3 RE: The tariff classification and status under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), of a boy's sweatshirt with sound module from Canada, Article 509. Dear Mr. Etkin: We refer to Nafta ruling letter NY 809926, issued to you on June 23, 1995. In that ruling, we stated that the submitted sample, a boys' 50% polyester, 50% cotton sweatshirt, no style number indicated, should be classified under HTS number 6110.30.3040, at a free rate of duty from Canada. During a subsequent review of the original letter, it was discovered that the duty given was incorrect. The correct rate of duty for the boys' sweatshirt should be 10.2% ad valorem. All other information remains the same. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. Copies of this supplemental ruling are being provided to all ports where entry of this merchandise will be made. A copy of this letter should be given to your broker and all members of your staff who are involved with clearing merchandise through Customs.
