You inquire about textile import quotas for foundation garments and underwear manufactured in Vietnam from raw materials of Asian countries. According to your inquiry the complete cutting and manufacturing will take place in Vietnam. Provided that the finished products are considered to be country of origin Vietnam there is no import quota at this time. You have also requested the import duties for several types of garments imported into the United States from Vietnam. The current duty rate for briefs in 6108.21 (cotton) or 6108.22 (man-made fiber) is 90 percent ad valorem. The duty rate for brassieres in 6212.10.10 (containing lace, net or embroidery) is 90 percent ad valorem. The duty rate for brassieres in 6212.10.20 is 75 percent as valorem. The duty rate for girdles and panty girdles in 6212.20 and for corsets in 6212.30 is 90 percent as valorem.
