No. 24729-96-2), in bulk form, from Italy Dear Mr. Hayward: In your letter dated September 30, 1994, you requested a tariff classification ruling. The subject product, Clindamycin Phosphate, is an antibiotic which is used as an antibacterial drug. You state that the product will be imported in bulk form. The applicable subheading for the subject product will be 2941.90.5000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTS), which provides for: "Antibiotics: Other: Other: Other." The rate of duty will be 3.7 percent ad valorem. This merchandise may be subject to the regulations of the Food and Drug Administration.
