Reclassification of Econazole nitrate

Box 1649) Clifton, NJ 07015-1649 RE: Reclassification of Econazole nitrate Dear Ms. White, In your letter of May 25, 1989, you requested classification of Econazole nitrate under the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States Annotated (HTSUSA). On June 13, 1989, in NYRL 841849, Econazole nitrate was ruled to be classified in subheading 2933.29.2000, under the provision for "non-aromatic drugs". Upon further review, it has been determined that Econazole nitrate is a benzenoid (aromatic) anti-fungal and should be classified in subheading 2933.29.2000 (HTSUSA), under the provision for "aromatic drugs".
