As required by the Privacy Act of 1974, 5 U.S.C. 552a, and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-130, the Department of Energy including the National Nuclear Security Agency (NNSA) (hereinafter referred to collectively as "DOE" or "the Department") is publishing its compilation of Privacy Act Systems of Records. This notice provides an accurate and complete text of the agency's systems of records, and adopts many of the recommendations that were made to DOE in comments that were submitted concerning proposed amendments to the compilation published by DOE on April 2, 2008.

DATES: The compilation of Privacy Act Systems of Records is effective January 9, 2009. The proposed new system of records will be open for comments until February 18, 2009.
