INITIATION OF INVESTIGATIONS The Petitions On May 3, 2005, the Department of Commerce (“Department”) received petitions on imports of diamond sawblades and parts thereof (“diamond sawblades”) from the People's Republic of China (“PRC”) and the Republic of Korea (“Korea”) filed in proper form by the Diamond Sawblade Manufacturers' Coalition (“Petitioner”) on behalf of the domestic industry and workers producing diamond sawblades. The period of investigation (“POI”) for the PRC is October 1, 2004, through March 31, 2005. The POI for Korea is April 1, 2004, through March 31, 2005.
