Final Results of Expedited Sunset Reviews: Antifriction Bearings From Japan

Commerce Department, International Trade Administration

Abstract

On April 1, 1999, the U.S. Department of Commerce (``the Department'') initiated sunset reviews of the antidumping duty orders on ball bearings (``BBs''), cylindrical roller bearings (``CRBs''), and spherical plain bearings (``SPBs'') (collectively, antifriction bearings) from Japan pursuant to section 751(c) of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended (``the Act''). On the basis of a notice of intent to participate and an adequate response filed on behalf of a domestic interested party and inadequate response from respondent interested parties in each of these reviews, the Department conducted expedited sunset reviews. As a result of these reviews, the Department finds that revocation of the antidumping duty orders would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of dumping at the levels indicated in the Final Result of Review section of this notice.
