The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is publishing an update of all guidance documents issued and withdrawn since the compilation of the previous quarterly list that published on January 6, 1999, and the annual comprehensive list that published on June 10, 1999. FDA committed to publishing quarterly updates in its February 1997 ``Good Guidance Practices'' (GGP's), which set forth the agency's policies and procedures for the development, issuance, and use of guidance documents. This list is intended to inform the public of the existence and availability of guidance documents issued for the first part of this year. This list also includes some guidance documents that were inadvertently not included on previously published lists.
