On August 8, 1997, the Department of Commerce (``the Department'') published the preliminary results of its administrative review of the antidumping duty order on silicon metal from Brazil. This review covers exports of this merchandise to the United States by four manufacturers/exporters, Companhia Brasileria Carbureto de Calcio (``CBCC''), Eletrosilex Belo Horizonte (``Eletrosilex''), Companhia Ferroligas Minas Gerais-Minasligas (``Minasligas''), and RIMA Industrial S/A (RIMA) during the period July 1, 1995, through June 30, 1996. We gave interested parties an opportunity to comment on the preliminary results. Based on our analysis of the comments received, we have changed our results from those presented in our preliminary results, as described below in the comment section of this notice. The final results are listed below in the section ``Final Results of Review.''
