Conference of the Parties to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and FloraTenth Regular Meeting; Public Meeting

This notice sets forth summaries of the proposed United States negotiating positions on agenda items and resolutions for the tenth regular meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP10) to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES). Comments or other relevant information have been solicited and a public meeting was held (October 3, 1996) regarding the submission of resolutions and species proposals for COP10 by the United States. This notice announces the proposed United States negotiating positions on all agenda items and resolutions submitted by other countries, and solicits comments or other relevant information from the public regarding these proposed positions. This notice also announces a public meeting to be held April 25, 1997, from 10:00 am-1:00 pm to receive public comments on these issues, as well as on issues pertaining to species proposals submitted by other countries.
