Energy Conservation Program for Consumer Products; Room Air Conditioner Energy Conservation Standards

The Department of Energy reopens the record of its rulemaking to revise the room air conditioner energy conservation standards under the Energy Policy and Conservation Act. Notice is given of revised draft reports on the potential impact of alternative efficiency levels, various written and oral comments from industry representatives and energy efficiency advocates, new factual information, and the principal policy options now under consideration.
