Regulation of Golden Parachutes and Other Benefits Which May Be Subject to Misuse

Abstract

The FDIC is adopting a rule limiting golden parachute and indemnification payments to institution-affiliated parties by insured depository institutions and depository institution holding companies. The purpose of this rule is to prevent the improper disposition of institution assets and to protect the financial soundness of insured depository institutions, depository institution holding companies, and the federal deposit insurance funds.
