Health and Human Services Department, Food and Drug Administration
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is proposing to amend the common or usual name regulation for crabmeat by adding the species Lithodes aequispina to those listed in this regulation and by providing that the common or usual name of crabmeat derived from this species is ``Brown King crabmeat.'' This proposal is in response to a citizen petition submitted by the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute (ASMI).
