SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: VA furnishes assistance to homeless Veterans and Veterans at risk for homelessness through multiple programs, including but not limited to: Homeless Providers Grant and Per Diem (GPD); Housing and Urban Development (HUD)—VA Supportive Housing (HUD-VASH); and Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF). Assistance under some of these programs is furnished by VA predominantly through non-VA third parties by way of grant funding, where funding announcements, grant agreements, and VA regulations establish criteria for awarding grant funds, among other requirements.
