Abstract

The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary special local regulation (SLR) for certain navigable waters of Sandusky Bay in Sandusky, OH. The SLR is needed to protect personnel, vessels, and the marine environment from potential hazards created during a swim event on July 19, 2026. This regulation prohibits persons and vessels from entering the regulated area unless specifically authorized by the Captain of the Port Detroit or their designated representative.
