Transportation Department, Federal Aviation Administration
The FAA is adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for certain Airbus SAS Model A350-941 airplanes. This AD was prompted by a determination that double overcoating sealant was not applied during production on certain fasteners in the center wing box (CWB) and belly faring junction for both left-hand (LH) and right-hand (RH) sides, and certain fasteners are also susceptible to rotation. This AD requires replacing each affected part and applying additional head nut cap protection. The FAA is issuing this AD to address the unsafe condition on these products.
