SUMMARY: The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary special local regulation for certain waters of the St. Mary's River. This action is necessary to provide for the safety of life on these navigable waters located at Piney Point, MD, during a two-day, high-speed, power boat demonstration event on June 06, 2026, and June 07, 2026. This regulation prohibits persons and vessels from entering the regulated area unless specifically authorized by the Captain of the Port Maryland-National Capital Region or their designated representative. DATES: This rule is in effect from 8:30 a.m. on June 06, 2026, through 5 p.m. on June 07, 2026. It will only be subject to enforcement, however, between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. on each of those two days.
