SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The Petition On April 6, 2026, the U.S. Department of Commerce (Commerce) received a countervailing duty (CVD) petition concerning imports of carbon and alloy steel wire rod (wire rod) from Algeria, filed in proper form on behalf of Charter Steel, Commercial Metals Company, Liberty Steel USA, Nucor Corporation, and Optimus Steel, LLC (collectively, the petitioners), domestic producers of wire rod. [ 1 ] Between April 10 and 20, 2026, Commerce requested supplemental information pertaining to certain aspects of the Petition in supplemental questionnaires. [ 2 ] Between April 15 and 22, 2026, the petitioners filed timely responses to these requests for additional information.
