SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Background On March 6, 2026, Commerce published its affirmative Final Determination in the less-than-fair-value (LTFV) investigation of steel concrete reinforcing bar (rebar) from Algeria in accordance with sections 735(d) and 777(i) of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended (the Act). [ 1 ] On April 17, 2026, the ITC notified Commerce of its final affirmative determination that an industry in the United States is materially injured by reason of imports of rebar from Algeria sold in the United States at less than fair value, within the meaning of section 735(b)(1)(A)(i) of the Act.
