The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is considering renewal of Facility Operating License No. R-129, held by the University of Texas at Austin (UTA or the licensee), for the continued operation of its Nuclear Engineering Teaching Laboratory (NETL) Training, Research, Isotopes, General Atomics (TRIGA) Mark II research reactor located in the City of Austin, Travis County, Texas. The NRC staff is issuing an environmental assessment (EA) and finding of no significant impact (FONSI) associated with the proposed action (i.e., renewal of the operating license).
