The Department of State is adding 11 properties to its Cuba Prohibited Accommodations List (CPA List). The Cuban Assets Control Regulations generally prohibit persons subject to U.S. jurisdiction from lodging, paying for lodging, or making any reservation for, or on behalf of, a third party to lodge at any property in Cuba on the CPA List.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Background On September 24, 2020, the Department of the Treasury amended its Cuba sanctions with a regulatory amendment to the CACR, adding § 515.10 to generally prohibit persons subject to U.S. jurisdiction from lodging, paying for lodging, or making any reservation for, or on behalf of, a third party to lodge at any property in Cuba on the CPA List. The State Department, on behalf of the Secretary of State, is now updating the CPA List, as published below and available on the State Department's website: https://www.state.gov/​cuba-sanctions/​cuba-prohibited-accommodations-list/​ . This update includes eleven additional accommodations, one address correction, four name refinements, and one merging of duplicative entries.
