SUMMARY: The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has received a license application from Disa Technologies, Inc (Disa) for a multi-site service provider license for its high-pressure slurry ablation (HPSA) technology to remediate abandoned uranium mine (AUM) waste. Disa's request (Docket #040-38417) is to use HPSA technology to perform remediation at certain AUM sites after additional site-specific safety and environmental information is provided to and approved by the NRC. Because the license application contains Sensitive Unclassified Non-Safeguards Information (SUNSI), an order imposes procedures to obtain access to SUNSI for contention preparation by persons who file a hearing request or petitions for leave to intervene. DATES: A request for a hearing or petition for leave to intervene must be filed by July 11, 2025.
