SUMMARY: This final rule extends the effective date for removal of the 1-psi gasoline volatility waiver in Ohio and nine counties in South Dakota by one year from April 28, 2025, to April 28, 2026. This action responds to petitions from the Governors of Ohio and South Dakota requesting an extension of the effective date to the summer of 2026. DATES: Effective date. This final rule is effective on March 19, 2025. Operational date. For operational purposes under the Clean Air Act (CAA), this final rule is effective as of March 14, 2025.
