SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: The Petition On December 31, 2024, the U.S. Department of Commerce (Commerce) received a countervailing duty (CVD) petition concerning imports of slag pots from the People's Republic of China (China) filed in proper form on behalf of WHEMCO-Steel Castings, Inc. (the petitioner), a U.S. producer of slag pots. [ 1 ] The CVD Petition was accompanied by an antidumping duty (AD) petition concerning imports of slag pots from China. [ 2 ] ( printed page 8268) Between January 6 and 14, 2025, Commerce requested supplemental information pertaining to certain aspects of the Petition in supplemental questionnaires. [ 3 ] On January 13 and 16, 2025, the petitioner filed timely responses to these requests for additional information.
