Abstract

The Assistant Secretary--Indian Affairs made a final agency determination to acquire in trust 13.79 acres, more or less, of land consisting of three parcels, known as the Lower Highway 89 Project, in Coconino County, Arizona, for the Navajo Nation, Arizona, New Mexico, & Utah for gaming and other purposes.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: On the date in the DATES section of this notice, the Assistant Secretary—Indian Affairs made a final agency determination to acquire the Lower Highway 89 Project (Site), consisting of 13.79 acres, more or less, in trust for the Navajo Nation, Arizona, New Mexico, & Utah under the authority of the Navajo-Hopi Settlement Act of 1975, Public Law 93-531, 88 Stat. 1712, 25 U.S.C. 640d , et seq. (1980), as amended. The Assistant Secretary—Indian Affairs, on behalf of the Secretary of the Interior, will immediately acquire the title to the Site in the name of the United States of America in trust for the Navajo Nation, Arizona, New Mexico, & Utah upon fulfillment of all Departmental requirements.
