SUMMARY: The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary safety zone for the navigable waters of Smith Canal extending from Louis Park to American Legion Park in Stockton, CA. The safety zone is needed to protect personnel, vessels, and the marine environment from the potential hazards associated with marine pollution removal operations. Entry of vessels or persons into this zone is prohibited unless specifically authorized by the Captain of the Port, Sector San Francisco. DATES: This rule is effective without actual notice from October 3, 2024 through October 5, 2024. For the purposes of enforcement, actual notice will be used from September 29, 2024, until October 3, 2024.
