Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration [Docket No. 23-31] On February 13, 2023, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA or Government) issued an Order to Show Cause (OSC) to Mary A. Vreeke, M.D. (Respondent), of Oxnard, CA. OSC, at 1, 5. The OSC proposed the revocation of Respondent's DEA Certificate of Registration (Registration) No. FV3660037, alleging that Respondent's continued registration is inconsistent with the public interest. Id. at 1 (citing 21 U.S.C. 823(g)(1) , 824(a)(4) ). A hearing was held before DEA Administrative Law Judge Paul E. Soeffing (the ALJ), who, on October 19, 2023, issued his Recommended Rulings, Findings of Fact, Conclusions of Law, and Decision (Recommended Decision or RD). The RD recommended that Respondent's Registration be suspended for six months, and then reinstated with restrictions to ensure that Respondent remains sober and continues with her current treatment program. [ 1 ] RD, at 27. Neither party filed Exceptions to the RD. Having reviewed the entire record, the Agency adopts and hereby incorporates by reference the ALJ's credibility findings, [ 2 ] findings of fact, and conclusions of law, and clarifies and expands upon portions thereof herein.
