Abstract

This document contains a notice of pendency before the Department of Labor (the Department) of a proposed amendment to class prohibited transaction exemption (PTE) 2020-02, which provides relief for certain compensation received by investment advice fiduciaries. The proposed amendment would affect participants and beneficiaries of Plans, IRA owners, and fiduciaries with respect to such Plans and IRAs.

Comments are due on or before January 2, 2024. Public Hearing. The Department anticipates holding a public hearing approximately 45 days following the date of publication in the Federal Register . Specific information regarding the date, location, and submission of requests to testify will be published in a notice in the Federal Register . Applicability Date. The Department proposes to make the final amendment effective 60 days after it is published in the Federal Register .
