Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration [Docket No. 19-33] On June 21, 2019, a former Assistant Administrator of Diversion Control Division, Drug Enforcement Administration (hereinafter, DEA or Government), issued an Order to Show Cause (hereinafter, OSC) to Larry C. Daniels M.D., (hereinafter, Respondent or Dr. Daniels) of Shreveport, Louisiana. Administrative Law Judge Exhibit (ALJ-- 1, (OSC) at 1. The OSC proposed to deny his pending application No. W18024499C for a DEA Certificate of Registration (hereinafter, COR or registration) pursuant to 21 U.S.C. 823(f) and 824(a)(1) for the reason that Respondent's “registration would be inconsistent with the public interest,” and because he “materially falsified [his] application for registration.” Id.
