Abstract

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is considering issuance of an amendment to Facility Operating License Nos. DPR-57 and NPF-5, issued to Southern Nuclear Operating Company, for operation of the Edwin I. Hatch Nuclear Plant (Hatch), Units 1 and 2, respectively. The proposed amendment would revise technical specification (TS) 3.8.1, "AC Sources--Operating," for Hatch, Units 1 and 2, to provide for a one-time extension of the completion time for the Hatch, Unit 1, emergency diesel generators.
