Abstract

The Department of Commerce (Commerce) is rescinding the administrative review of the countervailing duty order on certain steel nails (steel nails) from the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (Vietnam) for the period January 1, 2018, through December 31, 2018, based on the timely withdrawal of the request for review.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Background On July 1, 2019, Commerce published in the Federal Register a notice of opportunity to request an administrative review of the countervailing duty order on steel nails from Vietnam for the period January 01, 2018, through December 31, 2018. [ 1 ] On July 31, 2019, Mid Continent Steel & Wire, Inc. (the petitioner), a domestic producer of steel nails, filed a timely request for review, in accordance with section 751(a) of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended (the Act), and 19 CFR 351.213(b) . [ 2 ] Pursuant to this request, and in accordance with section 751(a) of the Act and 19 CFR 351.221(c)(1)(i) , we initiated an administrative review of 16 companies. [ 3 ] On October 1,
