Abstract

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or the Commission) has issued an exemption in response to a July 23, 2018, request from Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA or the licensee) to implement Optimized ZIRLO\TM\ fuel rod cladding at the Watts Bar Nuclear Plant (Watts Bar), Units 1 and 2.
