Extension of Initiation of Investigations The Petitions On June 3, 2014, the Department of Commerce (Department) received antidumping and countervailing duty petitions filed by the United Steel, Paper and Forestry, Rubber, Manufacturing, Energy, Allied Industrial and Service Workers International Union, AFL-CIO-CLC (Petitioner) on behalf of the domestic industry producing certain passenger vehicle and light truck tires. [ 1 ] Determination of Industry Support for the Petitions Sections 702(b)(1) and 732(b)(1) of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended (the Act), require that a petition be filed by or on behalf of the domestic industry. Sections 702(c)(4)(A) and 732(c)(4)(A) of the Act provide that the Department's industry support determination be based on whether a minimum percentage of the relevant industry supports the petition.
