Department of State [Public Notice 8732] Based upon a review of the administrative record assembled in this matter pursuant to Section 219 of the Immigration and Nationality Act, as amended ( 8 U.S.C. 1189 (“INA”), and in consultation with the Attorney General and the Secretary of the Treasury, I have concluded that there is a sufficient factual basis to find that al-Qa'ida in Iraq, also known under the aliases listed above, uses the additional alias Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, also known as Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham, also known as Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, also known as ad-Dawla al-Islamiyya fi al-'Iraq wa-sh-Sham, also known as Daesh, also known as Dawla al Islamiya, also known as Al-Furqan Establishment for Media Production, as its primary name. I have further concluded that there is a sufficient factual basis to find that Al-Nusrah Front, also known as Jabhat al-Nusrah, also known as Jabhet al-Nusra, also known as The Victory Front, also known as Al Nusrah Front for the People of the Levant is no longer part of al-Qa'ida in Iraq. Therefore, pursuant to Section 219(b) of the INA, as amended ( 8 U.S.C. 1189(b) ), I hereby amend the designation of al-Qa'ida in Iraq as a foreign terrorist organization to include the following new aliases: Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, also known as Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham, also known as Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, also known as ad-Dawla al-Islamiyya fi al-'Iraq wa-sh-Sham, also known…
