L. 108-199, Division D), the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) is publishing a summary and the complete text of the Millennium Challenge Compact between the United States of America, acting through the Millennium Challenge Corporation, and the Government of the Republic of Ghana. Representatives of the United States Government and the Government of the Republic of Ghana executed the Compact documents on August 1, 2006.

Introduction The five-year, approximately $547 million Millennium Challenge Compact aims at reducing poverty by raising farmer incomes through private sector-led, agribusiness development. To this end, the program focuses on increasing the production and productivity of high-value cash and food staple crops in certain areas of Ghana, and on enhancing the competitiveness of Ghana's export base in horticultural and other traditional crops.
