Notice is hereby given of persons that are subject to an arms embargo in implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1390 (2002). This action is being taken pursuant to Sections 38 and 42 of the Arms Export Control Act and in accordance with Section 5 of the UN Participation Act (UNPA) and E.O. 12918.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION: Section 2(c) of UN Security Council Resolution 1390 (2002) requires an arms embargo against those individuals, groups, undertakings and entities listed in the consolidated list created pursuant to UN Security Council Resolutions 1267 (1999) and 1333 (2000). Specifically, the Resolution requires that Member States prevent the direct or indirect supply, sale and transfer, to those on the Sanctions Committee list, from their territories or by their nationals outside their territories, or using their flag vessels or aircraft, of arms and related material of all types including weapons and ammunition, military vehicles and equipment, paramilitary equipment, and spare parts for the aforementioned and technical advice, assistance, or training related to military activities.
