N289072 September 7, 2017 CLA-2-17:OT:RR:NC:N2:232 CATEGORY: Classification TARIFF NO.: 1704.90.3550 Michael Peter Woods Kiwo Limited 32 Salamanca Road Wellington 6012 New Zealand RE: The tariff classification of Confectionery from New Zealand Dear Mr. Woods: In your letter dated August 7, 2017 you requested a tariff classification ruling. The subject merchandise is two types of confectionery: Manuka Drops and Manuka & Lemon Drops. Manuka Drops is said to contain sugar, glucose, Manuka honey and water. Manuka & Lemon Drops is said to contain sugar, glucose and Manuka honey, water and lemon. The drops are individually wrapped for retail sale. The applicable subheading for the Confectionery will be 1704.90.3550, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for which provides for: Sugar confectionery (including white chocolate), not containing cocoa: other: confections or sweetmeats ready for consumption: other: other…put up for retail sale: other. The rate of duty will be 5.6 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
