N288331 August 2, 2017 CLA-2-29:OT:RR:NC:N2:238 CATEGORY: Classification TARIFF NO.: 2934.99.3000 Ms. Sheila Heerdt Ren Pharm International Ltd. 350 Jericho Turnpike, Suite 204 Jericho, NY 11753 RE: The tariff classification of Crisaborole (CAS No. 906673-24-3) in bulk powder form, from Spain Dear Ms. Heerdt: In your letter dated July 17, 2017, you requested a tariff classification ruling. Crisaborole is a nonsteroidal phosphodieterase-4 (PDE-4) inhibitor that is indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate atopic dermatitis. The applicable subheading for Crisaborole in bulk powder form will be 2934.99.3000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for “Nucleic acids and their salts, whether or not chemically defined; other heterocyclic compounds: Other: Other: Aromatic or modified aromatic: Other: Drugs.” The rate of duty will be 6.5 percent ad valorem. Currently, Crisaborole is not listed in the Pharmaceutical Appendix to the Tariff Schedule. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
