The tariff classification of textile bed linen bands from China
N273781 April 5, 2016 CLA-2-63:OT:RR:NC:N3:351 CATEGORY: Classification TARIFF NO.: 6307.90.9889 Ms. Karyn Diehl 1043 Grand Avenue - 240 St. Paul MN 22105 RE: The tariff classification of textile bed linen bands from China Dear Ms. Diehl: In your letter dated March 8, 2016, you requested a tariff classification ruling. You submitted photographs of a product labeled bed linen bands. The bed linen bands consist of a long narrow sleeve sewn to form a band composed of an outer surface of textile polyester fabric, an inner layer of foam filling and hook and loop tabs sewn onto both ends. The band measures 33" L x 1.75" W and is monogrammed with a capital letter to indicate if the band is wrapped around Queen, King, Full or Single size bed linens. The bed linen bands are designed to identify and organize folded bed linens when stored. The applicable subheading for the bed linen bands will be 6307.90.9889, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for other made up textile articles, other. The rate of duty will be 7% ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
