Huff Etna Products Company, Incorporated 99 Madison Avenue, 11th Floor New York, NY 10016 RE: The tariff classification of textile mesh screen door from China Dear Mr. Huff: In your letter dated March 7, 2016, you requested a tariff classification ruling. You submitted photographs of a product you call the Marvelous Mesh Instant Screen Door, item #4556. The screen is made up of two woven polyester mesh panels with sewn on hook-and-loop strips that run along the top and length of the item. To use, the hook and loop strips are placed along the outside of the lintel and doorjamb, and then the mesh screens are attached to the hook-and-loop strips. Magnets are attached along the center length, allowing the mesh screens to be held back to walk through. The magnets also allow the screens to come together keeping insects out. The applicable subheading for Marvelous Mesh Instant Screen Door, item #4556, will be 6307.90.9889, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for other made up textile articles, other. The rate of duty will be 7% ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
