N266528 August 3, 2015 CLA-2-48:OT:RR:NC:2:230 CATEGORY: Classification TARIFF NO.: 4821.90.2000 Ms. Judy Awana Inter-Orient Services 1455 Monterey Pass Road #205 Monterey Park, CA 91754 RE: The tariff classification of self-adhesive paper labels from China Dear Ms. Awana: In your letter dated July 1, 2015, you requested a tariff classification ruling on behalf of your client, LC Landmark Corp. The ruling was requested on self-adhesive paper labels. Two representative samples identified as, “laser/inkjet” and “direct thermal” were submitted for our review. The samples will be retained for future reference. The “laser/inkjet” sample is a self-adhesive, non-printed paper label. Each individual label measures approximately 8 ½” (L) x 5 ½” (W). The labels will be imported in rolls measuring approximately 4233’ (L) x 8 ½” (W). The “direct thermal” sample is a self-adhesive, non-printed paper label. Each individual label measures approximately 6” (L) x 4” (W). The labels will be imported in rolls measuring approximately 4233’ (L) x 12” (W). The applicable subheading for the self-adhesive paper labels will be 4821.90.2000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for Paper and paperboard labels of all kinds, whether or not printed: Other: Self-adhesive. The rate of duty will be free. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
