Your submission describes the product at issue as Bismuth Aluminate Hydrate (CAS no. 308796-32-9). The U.S. Customs and Border Protection Laboratory has confirmed that this metal compound is an oxide of bismuth and aluminum. The applicable subheading for Bismuth Aluminate Hydrate (CAS no. 308796-32-9) will be 2841.90.4000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for Salts of oxometallic or peroxometallic acids: Other: Aluminates. The general rate of duty will be 3.1%. This merchandise may be subject to the requirements of the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), which are administered by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
