We apologize for the delay as the information was submitted to our laboratory for analysis. You stated that Sucroferric Oxyhydroxide, is a complex of FeO(OH) (Ferric oxy-hydroxy), starch and sucrose (known as akaganeite). According to our laboratory, Sucroferric Oxyhydroxide, is a mixture of ferric hydroxide oxide [Fe(OH)O] with sucrose and starches. In a follow-up correspondence with our office, you stated that the Sucroferric Oxyhydroxide will be used for research and development purposes only. The applicable subheading for the Sucroferric Oxyhydroxide, imported in bulk powder form, will be 382490.9290, HTSUS, which provides for Chemical products and preparations of the chemical or allied industries (including those consisting of mixtures of natural products), not elsewhere specified or included: Other: Other: Other: Other: Other: Other. The rate of duty will be 5 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
