N251725 April 8, 2014 CLA-2-63:OT:RR:NC:N4:351 CATEGORY: Classification TARIFF NO.: 6307.90.9889 Mr. David King Solvit Products 1114 West Harris Road, Suite 101 Arlington, TX 76001 RE: The tariff classification of a support strap from China Dear Mr. King: In your letter dated March 18, 2014, you requested a tariff classification ruling. You have submitted a sample of an item you call the Pet Ramp Support Strap. You state that the strap has no other use than as an accessory to your deluxe telescoping pet ramp designed for Solvit Products. The support strap is made up with a rubber coated metal hook, a metal spring clamp, a plastic clamp and an adjustable polypropylene webbed strap measuring 100”L x 1”W. To use, the adjustable strap with the metal spring clamp is adjusted to hold up one side of the ramp with the metal hook and plastic clamp. The support strap is adjusted to help steady the ramp when pets are climbing on a pet ramp. The strap does not contain a ratchet mechanism. The applicable subheading for the Pet Ramp Support Strap will be 6307.90.9889, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States, (HTSUS), which provides for other made up textile articles, other. The rate of duty will be 7% ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change. This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
