Box 20887 Atlanta, GA 30320 RE: The tariff classification of a hospital bed sheet from Pakistan Dear Ms. Linser: In your letter dated June 24, 2013 you requested a classification ruling on behalf of The World’s Global Source. The submitted sample is identified as a hospital bed sheet. The sheet is made from 60 percent cotton and 40 percent polyester woven fabric. The fabric is not napped. The top and bottom of the sheet are hemmed and the sides are selvage. The sheet is printed with the word “Angelica” multiple times along the length of the sheet. A RFID chip is affixed to the inside of the marking label. The chip and sheet are a composite good with the sheet supplying the essential character. The applicable subheading for hospital bed sheet will be 6302.21.9020, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for bed linen, table linen, toilet linen and kitchen linen: other bed linen, printed: of cotton: other: not napped... sheets. The duty rate will be 6.7 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
