Box 46847 Philadelphia, PA 19140 RE: The tariff classification of a 4-way sillcock key from Taiwan. Dear Mr. Green: In your letter dated March 25, 2013, you requested a tariff classification ruling. You have described the submitted sample as a 4-way sillcock key, also referred to as a 4-way faucet key. It is made of steel and designed in the shape of a crisscross metal bar with four hex-shaped openings on each end. It is used to open and close sillcocks (i.e. outside faucets and hose bibs) without handles. The applicable subheading for the 4-way sillcock key will be 8204.11.0060, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for hand-operated spanners and wrenches (including torque meter wrenches but not including tap wrenches); socket wrenches, with or without handles, drives and extensions; base metal parts thereof: hand-operated spanners and wrenches, and parts thereof: nonadjustable, and parts thereof: other (including parts). The rate of duty will be 9% ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change. You have also asked whether this item is subject to quota or visa restrictions or is regulated by other government agencies. There are no quota restrictions or visa requirements for the product at this time. Quota and visa status are the result of international agreements that are subject to frequent renegotiations and changes. To obtain the most current information as to whether quota and visa requirements apply to this merchandise, we suggest that you check our web site at www.cbp.gov. Furthermore, there are no requirements imposed by Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in order to import this product. This office is not aware of any requirements mandated by other government agencies. However, we suggest that you contact the port of entry to confirm this as the time of importation nears.   This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
