N236344 January 10, 2013 CLA-2-42:OT:RR:NC:N4:441 CATEGORY: Classification TARIFF NO.: 4202.92.9026 Ms. Jane Jewett Talus Corporation 470 Riverside Street Portland, ME 04103 RE: The tariff classification of an organizer bag from China Dear Ms. Jewett: In your letter dated December 6, 2012, you requested a tariff classification ruling. Your sample will be returned to you. Item number HR-DG-101 is an organizer bag constructed with an outer surface of man-made textile material. It is designed to provide storage, protection, organization and portability for personal effects during travel. The front exterior of the bag has one open pocket across the width and two smaller pockets on the side. The back exterior has an adjustable strap with plastic buckles. The bag features an open top with a spring closure. It can be hung over the back of a car seat or carried. As a secondary use, it can also be hung on a hook or door knob. It measures approximately 9” (W) x 10.5” (H) x 4.5” (D). The applicable subheading for the organizer bag will be 4202.92.9026, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for other containers and cases, with outer surface of sheeting of plastics or of textile materials, other, other, with outer surface of textile materials, of man-made fibers. The duty rate will be 17.6 percent ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
