Portland, OR 97206 RE: The tariff classification of a card game from China Dear Mr. Bernard: In your letter dated June 5, 2012, you requested a tariff classification ruling. Photographs and a description of the “Blurble Card Game” were received with your inquiry. The item consists of a deck of 300 pictured paper cards, a plastic tray and directions in a corrugated paper box. The object of the game is to say a word with the same letter as the depicted image on the card before your opponent. The player with the most cards at the end of the game is the winner. The game is designed to be played by two to twelve players, 8 years of age and older. The applicable subheading for the “Blurble Card Game” will be 9504.40.0000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for “Articles for arcade, table or parlor games…; parts and accessories thereof: Playing cards.” The rate of duty will be free. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
