Dear Mr. Tshiboyi and Ms. Carothers: In your letter dated May 11, 2012, you requested a tariff classification ruling. As requested, your sample is being returned. Style L6511 is a boy’s raglan sleeve pullover garment constructed from finely knit jersey fabric. The sleeves and rib knit neck are cotton and the body is 90% cotton, 10 % polyester. The cut and sewn garment has a round neckline, ¾ length, hemmed sleeves, a hemmed bottom, Champion Brand ™ embroidery and appliqué work on the lower left side and a small appliqué on the lower left sleeve. The item will be imported in boys’ sizes small to extra large. The applicable subheading for Style L6511 will be 6110.20.2069, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for sweaters, pullovers, sweatshirts, waistcoats (vests) and similar articles, knitted or crocheted, of cotton, other, other, other, other, men’s or boys’. The duty rate is 16.5% ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change.
