N216720 June 6, 2012 CLA-2-63:OT:RR:NC:N3:351 CATEGORY: Classification TARIFF NO.: 6307.90.9889 Ms. Suzanne Beston Avanti Linens, Inc. 234 Moonachie Road Moonachie, NJ 07074 RE: The tariff classification of a made up decorative trim from China Dear Ms. Beston: In your letter dated April 27, 2012, you requested a tariff classification ruling. You submitted a sample, style name Fantasy. It is a decorative trim to be used to embellish bath towels. Your letter states it is composed of 100% polyester. It consists of a 1½-inch-wide satin ribbon with two woven selvages. On one surface, flower and petal-shaped pieces of fabric have been sewn, creating a three-dimensional floral effect. The sewn-on embellishment stops approximately two inches from the end of each length of ribbon. These trimmings will be imported into the United States in finished lengths of 15”, 18” and 30”. The applicable subheading for Fantasy will be 6307.90.9889, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for other made up textile articles, other. The rate of duty will be 7% ad valorem. Duty rates are provided for your convenience and are subject to change. You have asked whether this product is subject to antidumping duties or countervailing duties (AD/CVD).
